Fellow gardeners: Inexpensive, non-GMO veggie seeds!

Need some vegetable seeds? Want old-time, non-hybrid varieties? Want them inexpensively and for a very low shipping cost??

Here’s what you do!

Head over to DollarSeed.com. I’ve bought seeds from this company before, and below is a list of reasons why the company is so wonderful:

“Pay just $1.00 per package, and get a whole lot more garden seeds, from someone you can trust. . . We hand label and package our garden seeds, right here in our own home. You won’t be buying a package that is all pretty, that hides the actual seeds from sight, so you will know how many you are getting. And we don’t use customer numbers, we treat people as people.
“All of our flower and vegetable garden seeds are packaged in clear ziplock poly bags. This allows you to grow the garden seeds you want, and reseal the package for planting later, or sharing the extra seeds with friends and family. Nope, no pretty pictures either. We label the packets with their common name and variety, so you know what they are.

“All of the garden seeds we sell for just $1.00 per package are old time favorites, and many are heirloom varieties. You won’t find GMO seeds [genetically modified] here. These are the same garden seeds we grow in our own gardens here in Upstate NY in zone 5, and do well almost anywhere else.

“Best yet, not only do you get more garden seeds for just $1.00 per package, but you also will pay the Industry’s lowest shipping rates. Our maximum shipping charge is only $5.00, no matter how many packages of seed you purchase at once. Even better is that a few packages only cost you the price of a postage stamp and an envelope, “SASE up to Three“. For orders of 1 to 3 packages, the shipping is only $1.00. 4 to 10 packages is just $2.50.

“And finally, what separates us most from all of our competitors, is our community service commitments. When we finish the end of the season, we clear out our inventory by donating all of the leftover garden seeds to community gardens all over the US.”

Sounds great, doesn’t it? I highly recommend them! DollarSeed.com

Do-it-yourself household cleaners

This is from our friends at MojoSavings, always quick to help you save a buck!

Spring is fast approaching, and that means every homeowner and renter is getting out from under the blankets to (sigh) clean house. There’s nothing worse than filling nice spring air with the harsh smells and toxic fumes of bleach, artificial colors and fragrances, ammonia, and nasty acids, though. Skip that and the extra trip to the grocery store with things you probably already have in your pantry!

Zip over here to find inexpensive ways to make your own household cleaners: DIY cleaners
