Free seminars on getting into college, winning scholarships

One minute your child is wearing pink OshKosh overalls and using a sippy cup. The next time you look, she’s in high school. What happened??? Yes, college is staring us in the face. The high school years are key, and I want my children to be prepared.

Elizabeth Hartley, owner of Scholarship Gold Consulting, helps students in 7th through 12th grade get ready for college. She’s a coach and consultant who has helped her clients get into good schools and win MILLIONS  of dollars in scholarships. And she’s holding two free seminars on how to prepare for college.

The seminars, which are open to the public, will be Thursday, Sept. 9, at Lake Pointe Academy,  3168 Hands Mill Highway, in York.   If you’d like to attend, please call 631-5253. It’s free! I went last time and was blown away by her positive spirit and real-life successes.

At 6:30 p.m. it’s “Middle School Motivation,” devoted to getting your middle schooler in the college-bound mindset.

At 7:30 p.m., it’s “College Bound 101,” a one-hour seminar for high schoolers and parents on college admissions and scholarships.
