Women: Free workshop on investing basics

Family Trust Financial Credit Union is holding a free workshop for women on investing basics at 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 7, at the Hilton Garden Inn, 650 Tinsley Way, Rock Hill. Matt Griffin, a financial consultant with Family Trust Investment Services, will lead the class.

The workshop will address why a financial strategy is needed, steps to determine risk tolerance and how to get started. Class is limited to 40 students. Blues & Jazz Festival starts Thursday

Don’t miss the Old Town Blues & Jazz Festival! The Arts Council of York County’s festival runs from tomorrow (Sept. 3o) through Oct. 2 in downtown Rock Hill. Thursday night at Main Street Live is FREE! Some of the highlights include Contagious Blues, Ironing Board Sam, Plair All-Stars, Funderburk and more.
