Advent envelopes for 2011

Home and Garden Television (one of my favorites!) shows you some beautiful — and easy! — Christmas crafts, including one by Share My Craft user Katie Watson for a special way to count down the 25 days of Christmas. “Each envelope has a coupon inside that is redeemable for something special (i.e., a family game night, a cup of hot chocolate, a piece of Christmas candy, Mom reading a book, etc.),” she says. It’s not only a fun family activity, but a creative piece of holiday decor, too.

Cool website: Explore the Royal Wedding!

Thirty years ago, my grandmother was up before sunrise, dressed to the nines (nails, hair and outfit perfect, she was awesome) and ready to watch the Royal Wedding.

On Friday, I may just have to get up and watch Will & Kate’s wedding in her honor.

However, if you just can’t get enough of it ahead of time, check out The Washington Post‘s interactive site about William and Kate’s pending nuptials. It’s so well-done, with 3-D graphics, panoramas, historical images and video tours. Swoon away!
